We Won!

SAFTASHuge news is that we won all three of the SAFTAs (South African Film and Television Awards) that we were nominated for – more than any other documentary film this year.

Massive congratulations to our team in the following categories:

Best Achievement in Cinematography (Feature Documentary) – Richard Finn Gregory

Best Achievement in Editing (Feature Documentary) – Ronelle Loots and Richard Finn Gregory

Best Achievement in Sound Design (Feature Documentary) – Daniel Eppel.

Three SAFTA Nominations!


We’re very proud of our team – we’ve been nominated for three South African Film & Television Awards (SAFTAs)! The awards evening is on 18 March 2016, so we’ll be keeping fingers crossed.

The categories we’ve been nominated in are:

  • Best Achievement in Cinematography in a Full Length Documentary
  • Best Achievement in Editing¬†in a Full Length Documentary
  • Best Achievement in Sound Design in a Full Length Documentary

RapidLion International Film Festival

RapidLionAnnouncementWe’re super-happy to have been selected to be in competition for Best South African Documentary at the inaugural RapidLion International Film Festival. South Africa is in need of some more world-class film festivals, and this one looks like it’s going to be making a splash.
The festival happens in March 2016 – lineup details to be announced soon.

Premiere at Silwerskerm Festival


We’re pleased to announce that The Boers at the End of the World will have its premiere at Silwerskermfees (Silwer Screen Festival), South Africa’s biggest Afrikaans film festival. Catch it on Friday 28 August 2015. Tickets are available here:¬†
